Lynn University is revolutionizing the way higher education is delivered. As one of only three partner universities of Apple, Lynn students receive an iPad® when they arrive on campus. Lynn’s mobile curriculum provides better engagement with interactive lessons and tools to connect students with classmates and professors. Plus, students save up to 90% off the cost of traditional textbooks with original e-books. Located on the south-eastern coast of Florida in Boca Raton, about 45 miles north of Miami, Lynn is one of the most innovative, international, and individualized small universities in the United States. The campus is modern with state-of-the-art infrastructure and outstanding sporting facilities.
Lynn offers an undergraduate curriculum built on individualized attention and an international focus. “Lynn University is one the top 5 most international US colleges. We have students enrolled at Lynn from over 100 countries this year …” - Juliene Alvarado, Senior Assistant Director of International Admission
Lynn University is comprised of six sub-colleges that offer specialized undergraduate programs within each: the College of Aeronautics, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Management, the College of Communication and Design, the College of Education, and the Conservatory of Music. Lynn’s vision to provide a professional education that aims to make its graduates job-ready has resulted in the possibility of students graduating within 3-years, taking advantage of the accelerated bachelor’s degree program.
Students pursuing this benefit work closely with their academic advisor to design their schedule and reduce the cost of earning a bachelor’s degree. And for those wishing to earn a master’s degree, it can be done in as little as one year allowing students to complete both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the time it takes to traditionally earn just an undergraduate degree.
Apart from the traditional majors in the sciences, business and the arts, Lynn offers specialized majors such as event management, hospitality management, and fashion and retail, owing to their popular demand within the industry. The College of Aeronautics is extremely popular amongst international students and prepares them for a career in the world of aviation. Lynn runs a unique program that is a requirement for all students: J-Term. This three-week course takes students outside of the classroom in the form of internships, workshops, and other hands-on learning opportunities.
The most popular areas for internships for international students are in finance, international business, and marketing. The student to faculty ratio of 18:1 makes the learning experience very personalized with plenty of time for one-on-one guidance. Lynn is also committed to working with students who have demonstrated learning differences.
Off campus, students are in a prime location to enjoy the yearlong warm weather, with the beach just 3 miles away, and Miami, Orlando and the Florida Keys within easy driving distance. The state of Florida is often referred to as the ‘Sunshine State,’ and Lynn students make hay when the sun shines! South Florida is a major hub for international trade, and the financial, health care, agriculture and tourism industries are booming here. Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties are home to large national and global employers, including ADT Security, American Airlines, AutoNation, Carnival Cruise Lines, Jarden Consumer Solutions and Lennar.
